Compass is a gathering of singles and young marrieds at Shades Mountain Independent Church who seek to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and to grow in that love.

Trips, Retreats, Missions
Various recreational and mission opportunities are planned far enough in advance to accommodate school and work schedules. Please check the calendar for those events that would be of interest to you.
This summer our group is invited to participate in the Builders For Christ project in Kansas. (Builders for Christ is a group of Christian tradesmen volunteering their time in various building projects. People of all walks volunteer their time along side the “experts” and offer their labor, learning as they go).

Steve is a local business owner and works full time in this capacity. In addition to teaching the Monday night Compass Bible Study, he teaches the Joint Heirs community group on Sunday mornings.
